  i took a chance on a raffle in a variety store, and won a "mothers day cake"!!!

  I went to a big Dental Meeting in Dallas. In the literature, it said they would be giving away 2 airline tickets to anywhere Southwest Airlines flew. I told my husband I was going to win those. I went to the meeting by myself. The drawing was during a class. I sneaked out, you had to be present to win. I knew I would win. They had a big lucite drum, spinning it. They stopped it and reached in, and a woman started yelling from the back, WAIT, she wanted to drop hers it. They let her. Spinned it again, reached in and Picked my name. I wasn't suprised at all. I walked up, to receive it. I just said, I knew it.

  . Then back to class, it hit I had WON. I didn't know anybody to tell. to share it with. Oh well, we went to DisneyWorld. Had a great time. Loved Southwest Airline. HL

  Vaginal Birth or Cesarean Section

  to all the mommy's out there...did you deliver vaginally or by c-section?.

  i was fortunate enough to deliver both my children vaginally although i came close to a c-section with my son.

  he was in the posterier position.

  I had paid the doctor in full before the due date. 1 week before she was due, I told the doc that I thought she had cooked long enough. Lets get it out. He sent me to the hospital. He came over and induced my labor. Before he could get out of the hospital, she went into distress. He pushed her around and she calmed down. He said if it happened again, we would do a c-section. So for 10 hours, I was in labor, begging my husband, to pay him the extra money, CUT IT OUT. She went into distress again,, c-section.

  His quote to me "I'm going to take away your pain, but I'm going to give it back to you tomorrow." Fine with me.

  I asked him at my recall appt. that if I was ever stupid enough to have another baby, could we make an appt. for a c-section? yes. HL

  I would fire their asses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They would never get a government or state job for the rest of their lives. They would get some prison time and lots of community service. If I had any athority, I would be your worst nightmare. HL

  re my post yesterday, where i quit my job last week, i just emailed my boss begging for my job back.

  am i absolutely tapped?!!

  i think i'm going crazy & my husband is going to kill me.

  with all the sickening things i have seen on the news today,,,,,,,it is great to see those people in houston , texas opening their arms taking in the evacuees.

  it is good to hear the postive side of human nature during this terrible time.

  i hope in the days to come the shift will be to some action being taken down in neworleans in a postive way, finally getting law and order down there.

  Smells that evoke memories...

  isn't it funny how certain smells can have a strong effect in evoking distant memories?.

  i was reminded of this when i just opened my desk drawer.

  a little earlier today i bought a local newspaper (which is unusual for me) and didn't have time to read it so i stuck it in the drawer.

  The smell of a truckstop mens rest room reminds of the time I dismembered an Amish couple on their way to South Dakota. I've always kind of regretted that. But hey, we've got to move on

  "Relief Effort" here in Texas

  hey guys,.

  just thought i'd let those interested know what the north texas part of the org is/isn't doing to help in the relief effort from a first hand account.. first of all, we all know that the society isn't helping anyone that isn't a dub, maybe unless they are a serious bible study or something.

  that being said, by monday we had several refugees camping out at different brother and sisters' homes, most of whom they were already friends with or were referred to by mutual friends.
